How-To Be Saved - Length: 26:50

Many people hear a message that stirs in them the need, want and desire to saved. But!, how does that work? How can one be saved? Why should one be saved? We will attempt to answer these questions for you this week. John 3:16-18 which reads, “[16] For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. [18] The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he, has, not, believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.” Genesis 2:15-17 reads, “[15] The LORD God took the man and placed him in the orchard in Eden to care for it and to maintain it. [16] Then the LORD God commanded the man, 'You may freely eat fruit from every tree of the orchard, [17] but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will surely die.'” Here is the establishment of, “The Law of Sin and Death” right here!, in the garden. Notice how the question from the serpent to Eve is worded in Genesis 3:1. “He said to the woman, 'Is it really true that God said, 'You must not eat from any tree of the orchard'?”. What did God say in Genesis 2:16? God's statement to Adam begins, “[16] Then the LORD God commanded the man, 'You may freely eat fruit from every tree of the orchard...”. If there is still doubt about the surety of our salvation, Romans 8:1-2 should erase all doubt for good! First, lets look at Romans 8:1. Again, it reads, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:3 tells us what Jesus has done for us. Romans 8:3 specifically says, “he condemned sin, in, the, flesh,...”. How? By the Father sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh! Isn't that an amazing thing for him to do when Genesis 1:26 reads, “Then God said, 'Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule...” We hope you find this study most instructive.
