“The Book of Revelation - The Fifth and Sixth Trumpets, Woe to the Earth” ~ Length: 34:00

Without Jesus specifically relating the timeline He and the Father are using, like any description of events, the hard and fast timeline can only be assumed. John, when he wrote The Book of Revelation, gave no indication of any direct or deliberate timeline. Remember how The Book of Revelation opens. Revelation 1:1-2 reads, “[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which G-o-d gave him to show his servants what must happen very soon. He made it clear by sending his angel to his servant John, [2] who then testified to everything that he saw concerning the word of God and the testimony about Jesus Christ.”. In Joel and all the other Old Testament books prophesying about The Tribulation, also known as The Great and Terrible Day of the Lord, or simply, “The Day of the Lord” a strong, sincere act of repentance pleases God so that He calls off His judgment upon the people and He abundantly blesses His people! In Joel, He restores what the Locust had taken. However, this is the take away on this twist… As dark and as dire the judgments and wrath are in the Tribulation period, repentance still wins the heart of God! It is the true epitome of “mercy in judgment” as we read elsewhere in the Bible. Now notice in Revelation 9:1 that the fifth trumpet is blown. Also notice, the tense of the fallen star. Revelation 9:1 reads, “Then the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star that H-A-D fallen from the sky to the earth, and H-E was given the key to the shaft of the abyss.”. Notice we are talking past tense and not current or future tense. It is also a being that receives the key to the shaft of the abyss as noted by the star being called, “he”. In The Bible in Basic English John 10:9-10 reads, “9 I am the door: if any man goes in through me he will have salvation, and will go in and go out, and will get food. 10 The thief comes only to take the sheep and to put them to death: he comes for their destruction: I have come so that they may have life and have it in greater measure.”. This thief in this scripture is in Hebrew, Abaddon and in Greek, Apollyon or… Plain and simple, that fallen star, Lucifer, the devil. All the attributes given him are present here. He receives the key to the abyss and he releases the horde of locust that are part of the fifth trumpet judgment and the first of three woes upon the earth.
